A long day on the water traveling from Desolation Sound to the Broughtons. We were fighting the current most of the way, which slowed things down. On a positive note, the water was mostly calm, so the trip was comfortable. We pulled into Lagoon Cove Marina mid-afternoon, and just relaxed with a short hike, a bit of beach combing, chatting with fellow boaters, and maybe just a little napping.

The marina owners pulled up some pots full of spot prawns to share with guests not long after we arrived, so you know what that meant…shrimp barbie!

As you can see, we are not slumming it. Tomorrow we have several sight-seeing and logistics stops on our way to a staging anchorage near Cape Caution. From there we will be ready to blaze northward first thing Saturday morning, weather permitting. But now the evening sun is shining, and I should be outside and not on the computer. Thanks for reading!
